- PC 2/142, pp 238-9. 'Their lordships are of opinion that it will be proper for his grace the Duke of Portland to be apprised of the observations made by Mr Attorney and Solicitor General upon each of these bills; as also of the minute made by this committee when the last mentioned of these two bills [see GI 3165] was under consideration last year, respecting the clauses contained therein for continuing the effect of the treaty of commerce with France; and their Lordships were pleased to order copy of so much of the report of Mr Attorney and Mr Solicitor General as relates to these two bills, and also extract of the minute of this committee above referred to, be transmitted to Mr King in order to be laid before the Duke of Portland.'
