Title |
For continuing several temporary statutes, and for amending an act passed in the 11th and 12th years of the reign of his present majesty, for the better paving, cleansing, lighting, altering and improving Sackville Street and Marlborough Street in the city of Dublin, and the lanes and avenues leading unto the same respectively, and for enabling the corporations for badging the poor within the county of Waterford and the county of the city of Waterford to unite and become one corporation, and also for establishing a body corporate within the town and parish of Lisburn in the county of Antrim, for the better support and government of the poor within the said town and parish. |

'… finding that in the bill … matters entirely of private concern have been introduced; and being of opinion, that such a practice may be productive of many inconveniencies' resolution that lord lieutenant be written to 'recommending [to LL and IPC] not to transmit, without separating, any bills where matters of public and private concern are blended together in the same bill'. (PC 2/125, p. 196, 27 June 1780).
First engrossed without amendment 28 June 1780. 'Whereas a doubt hath arisen, whether it may not be proper to make some alteration in the seven bills hereunder mentioned, with respect to the dates from whence the provisions of the said bills, or some of them, are to commence and be in force, vizt. … ordered … that … the committee for the Irish bills do proceed to reconsider … notwithstanding … order in council of [28 June] approving thereof' (PC 2/125, pp 213-15, 30 June 1780). Reported again with amendments (PC 2/125, pp 217-21, 1 July 1780). Engrossed again 1 July 1780.
