Title |
To enable the commissioners of his majesty's revenue to take leases of or to purchase such houses, grounds and tenements in the city of Dublin as they shall find necessary for the purpose of erecting a custom house, and for making convenient approaches and for a quay, offices and other accommodations proper for the same. |

'The lords of the committee this day took into consideration a report of the attorney and solicitor general upon the Irish bill for removing the Custom House - Heard counsel in part thereupon, and postponed the further hearing 'till the 17th instant.' (PC 2/119, p. 345, 13 Feb. 1776).
'The lords of the committee this day resumed the consideration of the Irish Custom House bill, and proceeded to hear counsel thereupon and their lordships agreed to postpone the further consideration thereof to Monday morning and half an hour past eleven o'clock.' (PC 2/119, p. 356, 17 Feb. 1776).
'Their lordships having this day resumed the consideration … and having maturely weighed and considered the evidence and arguments on both sides are please to order that the bill be referred back to Mr Attorney and Solicitor General to reconsider the same and to make such amendments therein, [some detail given of principles to be followed]' (PC 2/119, p. 359, 19 Feb. 1776).
