Letter of IPC transmitting bill: ‘A bill consented to in like manner [i.e. by all the parties concerned]. It is the same bill that was transmitted hither, and had passed, but for a small mistake, which it was impossible to rectify in parliament; so that it is necessary to transmit it again.’ (12 July 1697, SP 63/359, f. 67).
