This bill makes only one appearance in PC 2, when it was ordered that 'a bill lately transmitted from Ireland entitled An act for encouraging the importation of iron and staves which bill is now in the hands of Mr Attorney General, be sent to the right honourable the council of trade who are to examine the said bill, and report to this board how they find the same, together with their opinion thereupon' (20 Dec. 1698, PC 2/77, p. 280).
