On Friday 1 March, a network of colleagues from Queen’s University Belfast and a number of Balkan States presented their work on Shared Education at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. Led by School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work academic Joanne Hughes, the aim of the meeting was to disseminate the role and impact of shared education in promoting intergroup relationships and educational opportunities within divided jurisdictions where parallel systems of education for ethnic/religious groups is the norm.
