Many congratulations to Professor Joanne Hughes, Director of our Centre for Shared Education, on her award of an MBE in the Queen's Honours List for services to Education and to the Northern Ireland community.

In response to the award, Professor Hughes said: ‘I am delighted and humbled to have been awarded an MBE, especially in this special Platinum Jubilee year. While the MBE is personal, I have always worked in collaboration with others, and I see it as recognition for the exceptional work of all those I have had the pleasure of working with over my years at Queen’s, and our collective achievements in the area of shared education and addressing inequalities in education’.
