An article by Joanne Hughes and Rebecca Loader has been named as one of 10 “landmark studies” in educational research over the past 10 years by the British Educational Research Association. The article, entitled “Plugging the Gap: Shared education and the promotion of community relations through schools in Northern Ireland”, has been included in BERA’s 50@50 report which charts half a century of educational research through 50 studies that “have had a significant impact on educational policy, educational practice, research methodology and/ or educational theory”.
