The Association of Geographic Information NI Conference (AGI-NI)- Geographical Information Supporting a Sustainable Future.

Geography at Queen’s University Belfast is delighted to sponsor the AGI-NI virtual conference on the 17^th June 2021.   

We welcome all AGI NI delegates to join us for our presentation entitled ‘Equipping Geography Graduates to tackle Global Crises for a Sustainable Future’. We are pleased that our PhD students, Emma Delaney (Re-Wind: Repurposing wind turbine blades: A geospatial approach) and Thomas Neeson, Head of GIS, Department for Infrastructure NI (collaborative PhD) will also present their research at AGI-NI.

Compositional Data Analysis (CoDa) Association Online CoDa-Day 2021

The CoDa Association is an organization which brings together scientists interested in developing methods for compositional data modelling and their application in different fields such as, geology, biology, economics or social sciences, to name a few. The Online CoDa-Day aims to foster the interest in the study of compositional data and their applications, to offer a forum of discussion for people concerned with the statistical treatment and modelling of compositional data or other constrained data sets, and the interpretation of models or applications involving them.

Prof. Jenny McKinley is a keynote speaker for the CoDa Association Online CoDa-Day 2021 on Thursday 17^th June 2021. Jenny will be presenting her work on Compositional analysis using balances of geochemical environmental toxins to explore potential associations with chronic kidney disease.
