PMC were delighted to be involved in the third year of the SistersIn Initiative at QUB. Biomedical Scientist Aoife McArdle mentored Year 13 student Grace Smith for 6 months, whose leadership project for the programme was to teach Year 8 students how to bake at an after-school club. Grace was then joined on a work shadowing day by Shauna Doyle and Amy McClelland to see “a day in the life” of an Image Analyst and research technician. Serendipitously, this visit lined up with Women’s International Women’s Day!
