Thanks to a kind gift by Dr Jean Whyte of books from her late husband Prof John H. Whyte's personal library, we have revamped and expanded the Library in the Irish Studies Resource Room (27UQ/0G/003) with a large collection of material, particularly strong on 18th-20^th century Irish history, the politics and sociology of NI, and Irish Catholic material (including numerous pamphlets). This space is open M-F 9.00-5.00 and has an honesty-based borrowing system. We also have copies of materials published by the former Institute of Irish Studies press. Donations of relevant Irish Studies materials are also welcome.
