School of Mathematics & Physics successfully renews Athena Swan Silver Award
The School of Mathematics & Physics remains committed to the principles of diversity, inclusion and equity.
A campus-wide celebration was held on 5 December to present those Athena SWAN awards earned across the University during the last few years. In 2020, the School of Maths and Physics successfully renewed our Athena SWAN Silver Award. This award was presented to Dr Miryam Arredondo-Arechavala and Dr Gabriele De Chiara who led the School's renewal application and diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts as previous chairs of the Gender Equality Committee (GEC). Congratulations to all those involved with the renewal application.
The GEC and School leadership plan to display the award prominently in the reception area of the Main Physics building for visitors to see.
