'Victor and the Virus' was written by Dr Debbie Duncan, Nurse Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery.  It is designed for children to help them understand that anyone can become a nurse, regardless of their gender. 

So far, the book has been sent into 40 Primary schools, and is available on Amazon. 

Debbie, a children's author in her spare time, states that she was moved to write this book because in Northern Ireland only 9% of the nursing workforce are men. In the rest of the UK it’s still only between 10-11%.
