Dr Noble and Claire Carswell represented School at the 47th EDTA conference
Dr Helen Noble and PhD student Claire Carswell, represented the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the 47th European Dialysis and Transplant Association conference in Genoa, Italy, 15-18th September 2018. With over 700 participants from across the world the conference is a forum for sharing the best research and innovations in practice and helps initiate and promote quality renal initiatives across the world.
Helen is a member of the Scientific Programme Committee and Chair of the Renal Research Group. She presented her findings from her recent NIHR PAllaitive Care in chronic Kidney diSease study (PACKS) and ran a successful research workshop co-facilitated with Claire and Veronica Strini from the University of Ferrara, Italy. Claire presented the systematic review of her PhD exploring arts based interventions in kidney disease and attended the Renal Research group meeting. In addition, they were awarded the highly acclaimed ‘Manuscript Award 2018’ prize (led by Claire) for their work with nephrology patients. Both used the opportunity to network, enjoy authentic Italian food and share their work internationally.
