QUBSONM Research Showcase
The School of Nursing & Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast wish to invite you to attend a PhD and Postdoctoral Research Showcase event on Tuesday 11th December 2018. Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Nursing & Midwifery: Making an impact on Education and Practice Lecturers (Education), Research Fellows and PhD students will showcase their work across three areas: - Education and Practice - Chronic Illness and Palliative Care - Maternal and Child Health Guest speakers will include Mary McClarey and Verena Wallace MBE Mary McClarey trained and worked as a nurse, midwife and health visitor during 'The Troubles' and has written a book 'Time for a Change' using her experiences as a background to the novel. Verena Wallace MBE completed her general nurse training in Belfast, followed by midwifery in Scotland. As midwifery advisor in the Department of Health (NI), Verena has responsibility for providing advice on matters relating to midwifery and children's services.
Light refreshments and a finger buffet lunch will be provided, and registration at 8.45am is free of charge. The closing date for registration is Monday 3rd December 2018 at 4.00pm and is limited to 100 places.
