Professor Donna Fitzsimons receives OBE for services to Healthcare and Education
Congratulations to Professor Donna Fitzsimons from the School of Nursing and Midwifery who received an OBE on Tuesday 12th November at Windsor Castle.
Professor Fitzsimons was named Officer of the Order of the British Empire in recognition of her significant contributions to Healthcare and Education following the King's Birthday Honour's in July 2024.
Upon receiving this prestigious honour, she expressed her gratitude and commitment to continuing her vital work in these fields.
"Accepting this award on behalf of our superb team at the School of Nursing and Midwifery has been the greatest honour of my career. Thanks to everyone who played a part. I loved the whole experience at Windsor Castle but the kindness and charm of HRH Prince William made it particularly poignant - a memory that will live with me forever!"
