QUB GREATix.
Today we celebrate the launch of QUB GREATix in partnership with out Athena Swan champions! This is an initiative, originally created in Scotland and now implemented in some of our Trusts and aims to reward excellence in practice!
GREATix allows students, practice staff and academic staff to report on excellent practice by a colleague. A GREATix may be submitted by anyone, for anyone, e.g:
- a nurse in placement who recognises excellent practice by a student
- a student or QUB staff member who wishes to recognise a Practice Assessor or Supervisor who went the extra mile to help a student meet their learning goals
- QUB staff can complete a form in recognition of excellent student conduct
- students may wish to recognise good practice of academic staff
We are very good at reporting issues or concerns in practice e.g. via Datix. However, we are not so good at rewarding excellence in practice. GREATix now gives us all the opportunity to recognise excellence in practice.
Nominations can be made via the QUB GREATix website on the Student Hub under “School Handbook /Feedback” (Feedback (sharepoint.com)). Worthy nominations will receive an eCertificate which can be submitted to NIPAD Additional Evidence (students), Revalidation (Practice colleagues), PDR (QUB staff). All successful nominations will be listed on the site on a monthly basis so excellent practice is recognised and shared.
Please feel free to submit a nomination when you want to see excellence in practice rewarded…. and please share the link with our practice colleagues so they too can engage with the QUB GREATix.
QUB GreatiX – it's a GREATix, not a datix!
