School of Nursing and Midwifery at QUB hosts the Council of Deans of Health Northern Ireland
On 2nd October The School of Nursing and Midwifery, QUB hosted the Council of Deans of Health Northern Ireland.
The meeting was attended by CEO for the UK wide Council of Deans of Health, Ed Hughes and Stella McKernan, CoDH policy officer. Since her appointment as Head of School, Professor Kenda Crozier has taken up the role of convenor for the Northern Ireland Deans of Health. Representatives from Queen's University, Ulster University and Open University met to discuss the key priorities for the Northern Ireland Higher education providers of health profession's education. Following the meeting Professors Crozier and Fitzsimons from QUB along with Professor Danny Kerr from Ulster University met with the Minster for Health Mike Nesbitt to deliver key messages around student funding and provision of education for the future health care workforce.
