SNAM welcomes colleagues from Emory University
We were delighted to welcome colleagues from The Lillian Carter Center within the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing in Emory University to Queen’s last week.
The Lillian Carter Center kindly welcomed some of our students last year when the first cohort of CCUC International Nursing Programme students visited Atlanta. During this programme, Lisa and her team kindly facilitated visits to Emory’s campus and arranged for the students to take part in classes and an observational practical in their impressive simulation facility.
As well as meeting with colleagues across the University and showing our guests some of Queen’s facilities, we visited our friends at the Children's Cancer Unit Charity (CCUC) who make the International Nursing Programme possible. They shared more about the amazing work that they complete as well as discussing how the Nursing Programme was created in partnership with Aflac and QUB. We are excited to be part of this wonderful collaboration and for how it may grow in the future.
