Visiting Student
The Visiting Student title enables current registered studentsfrom other institutions, across all levels of study to spend a period of time at the School of Pharmacy to conduct research as part of their own studies or as a research placement/internship.
Visiting Students must have an assigned supervisor within the School of Pharmacy.
How to apply
Please complete the Visiting Student Application Form and submit to melissa.mcallister@qub.ac.uk
Please include the following documents with your application
· A copy of your transcript or other proof of your current registration status at your home institution
· A copy of your passport
· Other relevant immigration documentation if applicable.
The Visiting Student title can be conferred initially for a maximum period of one year and can be renewed on an annual basis, up to the end of your registration at your home institution. Renewals are subject to the agreement of the School and students must re-apply to extend their title.
Important to Know
The Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) requires that all international Visiting Student applicants to the School of Pharmacy who are registered to study at Doctorate or Masters level by research in their home institution and who are subject to UK immigration control, must apply for an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate before they can study in the UK. Further details can be found in section F1 and Appendix 1 of the application form.
Bench fees may be charged at the discretion of the supervisor depending on the nature of the project and are normally levied in advance.
Upon accepting your Visiting Student title, you are signing up to the Terms and Conditions for Holders of Honorary Status (Approved Honorary Status T's and C's).
Visiting Students will not be a registered student at Queen’s University Belfast and will receive no credit or qualification from the University.
You will not be remunerated by Queen’s University Belfast.
The Visiting Student title is not applicable to Doctoral Training Partnership students from other institutions.
