The School of Arts, English and Languages well represented at the QUest pitch event.
Two current students and one recent graduate from AEL were among the pitchers, showcasing the School’s strengths in nurturing entrepreneurial talent on 27th November.
The pitches were made as part of the high-profile InQUBate launch attended by senior Queen's University leaders including the DVC Professor Stuart Elborn, Director of Innovation Brian McCaul, and Queen’s Pro Chancellor Orla Corr, underscoring the University’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship.
PhD Music student Isaac Gibson made an impression at the event, winning the both the prize for best pitch and one of the investment prizes for his business From My Perspective.
Although they weren’t winners on the day, the other pitchers from the School - Film Studies and Production student Conleth Mallon, who pitched his cocktail infusion business instyl, and Film Studies and Production graduate Emily Gribben who presented her immersive VR storytelling startup Sensalience – demonstrated strong entrepreneurial capabilities.
