The article, ‘Caring from behind the face mask in healthcare: Learning from the dramatic arts’ is a response to the challenges faced by healthcare professionals as they care for critically ill patients during the pandemic. Drawing upon the dramatic arts, the article aims to explore the relationship between face and mask and thereby provide reflective insights for health professions educators to help guide healthcare workers in their communication from behind the face mask.
