Research Interests
I welcome applications from students wishing to work on topics related to any of my research interests. I am currently focused on the psychology of relief, future thinking and debt, and cross-cultural differences in essentialist thinking.
Public outreach & key achievements
Our research on regret and children’s decision making has attracted considerable media attention, e.g. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-40741254
Our research on the psychology of debt, carried out with Grant Thornton LLP and Aperture IVA, has been disseminated to hundreds of debt advisors attending training seminars across the UK.
