Welcome to the DECAP Research pages.
As Educational Psychologists, we place research and the use of an evidence base at the centre of our professional practice; thus, the idea of the Educational Psychologist as a research practitioner is a core idea underlying the DECAP programme. Research underpins all aspects of the DECAP programme; trainees complete research on placement; minor research, including research exploring issues around equity, diversity, and inclusion pertinent to NI society; and major research of publishable standards that can contribute to the psychological literature in Educational Psychology. Contained within the following pages are both major research completed by trainees since 2020 and publications completed as part of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion programme on DECAP.
