Placement Office Networking Breakfast
Queen’s Management School Placement Office recently hosted over 20 local companies at a business breakfast in Riddel Hall to promote the introduction of a compulsory placement within the BSc Business Management degree and extending the opportunity of internships for the MSc Marketing course. Attendees heard from Joanne Kearney from GlowMetrics and Joy Chambers from Allstate, who spoke about their partnership with our placement office and how their companies have benefited from engaging our students in placement opportunities. We also heard from Dr Hilary Downey, Program Director for MSc Marketing and Denise Falls from the William J Clinton Leadership Institute.
Joanne Kearney speaks highly of our placement programme, saying “We’ve worked with QUB for the last 3 years with tremendous success in filling placements at GlowMetrics. The quality of placement students has been consistently high and all master placements have led to students staying long after their initial 3 months. The recruitment process with the Placement Office has always been easy, straightforward and delivered on sending us relevant and keen students that have had a significant positive impact on our business.”
The Queen’s Management School Placement Office has been running for over 25 years, providing a support service to students and employers through a structured Placement Programme. We work closely with employers throughout the placement process, providing guidance on application timelines, advertising roles through a dedicated website, collating applications, scheduling and facilitating interviews and much more.
