Speaker: Prof. Helen Gleeson, OBE FInstP. University of Leeds

Prof. Gleeson is Cavendish of Physics at the University of Leeds. Much of her work has involved understanding liquid crystals, both in the bulk and in devices. She is the Representative to Council for Inclusion and Diversity at the Institute of Physics (IOP) and is the Chair of the IOP’s Bell Burnell Graduate Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to enable students from under-represented groups to undertake PhDs in physics.
