What do students value most on their clinical skills attachments?
The feedback from students on clinical skills attachment provides some helpful reminders on what are the most valuable ways to help them learn.
Students value weekly contact with patients. In this way they can practice their clinical skills and extensive learning is encouraged, by setting the skill in the context of the disease process.
Students enjoy practicing history taking at the attachments but would also welcome the opportunity to practice examination techniques whilst being observed and be given individual feedback by their tutors.
The weekly aims and objectives should be followed as closely as possible. Please ensure each week that you follow the “Attachment Teachers Timetable”.
