PPRC was pleased to meet with a delegation of companies and clusters from Portugal on a recent, weeklong, trade mission to Ireland promoting Portuguese engineering, tooling, mould making and plastics industries.

During their 2-day stay in Northern Ireland, the visitors learned about QUB expertise and capabilities and plans for the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre before touring facilities in PPRC and the Northern Ireland Technology Centre.

Day 1 included a presentation from InterTradeIreland which highlighted the benefits of collaboration and concluded with Business-to-Business meetings with local NI companies facilitated by the Northern Ireland Polymers Association.

On Day 2, the delegation visited local polymer processers for factory tours organised by NIPA before returning to Portugal.
