PhD student Rachel Hanna wins Palgrave Prize
Rachel Hanna, a Northern Bridge PhD student in the School, received the Palgrave Prize for her conference paper given at the Poetics and Linguistics Association (PALA) Conference 2016, which was held at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, Sardinia. The Palgrave Prize is awarded each year for the best paper delivered at the conference by a student member of PALA. Rachel’s paper was entitled “The role of evaluation in telling and reading the “real-life stories” of asylum seekers”.
