The School of Psychology Welcomes Dr Diane Morrow
Dr Diane Morrow - Research Fellow
Diane has an interest and passion for using community-based research methods to offer space for lived experience in becoming part of core academic understanding. She uses sensitive and emotive methods with creativity to voice previously unheard stories. During her PhD, Diane studied lived experiences of adolescents who live with type 1 diabetes, and their parents, to understand the ways that technology may or may not be supporting physical activity. After this, she learned more about patient journeys using health apps in a clinical trial for the University of Manchester, and the safety of online users when going through serious life transitions for the University of Strathclyde. Moving forward to present projects at Queen's University Belfast, Diane will continue to build links with community to understand technology for adolescents living with type 1 diabetes, and ways of sharing lifestyle experiences with clinical staff through the supportive use of an app co-designed with adolescents.
