KTP Associate, Ansu Mary Alex Named on Belfast Telegraph 30 Under 30 List
Ansu, a passionate and dedicated concrete technologist at Moore Concrete Products Ltd is listed as one of Northern Ireland's most successful young people for her sustainability leadership demonstrated in her KTP project and beyond.

Ansu Mary Alex has earned a spot on the Belfast Telegraph's 30 Under 30 List for her outstanding contributions to sustainability in the construction industry.
As a KTP Associate at Moore Concrete, Ansu has been a key driver behind the company’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint, playing a vital role in advancing the SDG Plan and ESG Report. Collaborating with academics from the School of Natural and Built Environment at Queen’s through the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme, she focuses on developing low-carbon cement binder systems. Moore Concrete, one of only four UK-based precast concrete manufacturers to set Science-Based Targets, is committed to reducing GHG emissions by over 42% by 2030, with Ansu at the heart of this transformation.
With a Master’s in Chemistry from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and a Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering from Queen’s, Ansu brings scientific rigor to implementing low-carbon technologies. Her academic expertise, coupled with her leadership, has allowed Moore Concrete to integrate cutting-edge sustainability techniques into their operations.
Recognition on the 30 Under 30 list marks a significant milestone in Ansu's career. Her recognition underscores her passion for environmental sustainability, which extends beyond Ansu's work on the KTP. As co-chair of the Institute of Concrete Technology’s SYPro and a Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful 30 Under 30 Northern Ireland Climate Change-Maker, Ansu has been a vocal advocate for sustainability within the industry, emphasising the importance of reducing carbon emissions and making the construction process more environmentally friendly.
Ansu is actively engaged in cross-sectoral discussions aimed at addressing the climate crisis, advocating for sustainable practices not only in construction but across industries, highlighting her as one of Northern Ireland's brightest young talents and an emerging leader in her field.
