Welcome to Eva Grew
Eva Grew - Research Fellow
Eva has joined the team led by Dr Jocelyn Dautel, working as a research fellow on the ‘Communicating ‘Truth:’ Consumption and transmission of polarized information amongst young people in a divided society’ project. This is an exciting mixed-method project funded by the Templeton World Charity Foundation, which focuses on transmission of polarized information among young people in Northern Ireland.
Eva’s doctoral research focused on adolescents' school relationships and their link to adolescent school adjustments, both over time (longitudinally) and concurrently. Prior to her PhD at the School of Psychology QUB, Eva has completed two Master’s degrees, in Psychology and Psychotherapeutic studies, at the Masaryk University in the Czech republic. Throughout her studies, Eva has been dedicated to developmental psychology within the context of schools, with a particular focus on social processes and relationships. This has also determined her professional background, as she has worked as a support assistant for children with disabilities, as a research assistant in a project aimed at gifted children, as a PhD coordinator/tutor in the QUB Pathway to opportunity programme, or as a teaching assistant in a secondary school in Belfast. Eva enjoys both research and teaching, as she is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
