Welcome to Dr Julie McMullan
Dr Julie McMullan - Research Fellow
Julie has recently returned to the School of Psychology on a part-time basis alongside her current research role in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. In 2017 she was awarded a PhD from Ulster University which focused on self-harm in an online setting. In this new post, Julie will be working with Dr Lisa Graham-Wisener and Dr Tracey McConnell to develop a NIHR HSDR application for a music therapy project related to bereavement. The project will aim to understand how music therapy pre- and post-bereavement from terminal illness may work in different healthcare settings, and for which groups of people. Julie has a genuine interest in qualitative research and helping people across communities and is very much looking forward to being part the ‘MusiCARER’ project.
